“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel” (Mk 1:15).
For some reason I usually think of this as the Sermon on the Mount Mystery which would be lumping most of Matthew 5-7 in there – the Beatitudes, the Lord’s Prayer, and a bunch of other good stuff.
I guess it’s more of a “Yo the time is now, get your act together.” The beauty is that no matter where we are in our spiritual journey we are always called to take it to the next level because none of us is doing this perfectly. I sometimes get down on myself because I’m not as “holy” as I could be. I’ve been a bit snotty with my co-workers lately. I may not be perfect, but at least I’m doing better than before.
